How laminate flooring is made

The core of a laminate plank is made from wood by-products that are bonded with resins. A transparent wear layer protects the printed design layer. Some of the best floorings include a 10+ year warranty on the wear layer. Three-dimensional embossing helps to create a realistic image. Generally, plank thickness ranges from 6 mm to 12 mm. Because it's a thicker type of flooring, laminate is warm and comfortable to walk on. While a floor is water-resistant, spills should be cleaned up immediately, if possible. Prolonged exposure to water will damage the floor. Since the durable wear layer is tough, cleanup and maintenance are easy. Harsh cleaners should not be used.
